Q: What is “APN”? A: “APN” stands for Access Point Networks. It allows you to connect to the internet & identifies your data
Every carrier uses different access points (APN) settings for wireless DATA connection, some phones like the iPhone or Blackberry will automatically configure the APN settings, other type phones like Nokia/Android need to be configured manually.
If the iPhone does not automatically configure the network APN settings you need to reset the network settings on the phone, go to settings – general – reset – select reset network settings, you can also do a soft reset by holding down the power button together with the menu key until the iPhone powers off and back on again.
Below you will find the APN settings you need for your Israeli service provider, If you have an Android, Ipad, Nokia see below for instruction on how to configure APN settings on your device.
Configure APN settings on Android:
- Go to Menu> Settings> Wireless & networks.
- Now select “Mobile networks” and then “Access Point Names”.
- Click “Menu” and then “New APN”.
- Enter Name and APN (below).
- Leave Username, Password, and other entries blank.
- Save and activate.
- New Android models:
Go to Settings.
Tap Mobile Data.
Tap Access Point Names.
Tap the 3 Dot Menu button and select New APN
Tap the 3 Dot Menu button and save

Configure data network on iPhone/Ipad:
- Go to Settings> General> Network.
- Under “Network” settings select “Cellular Data Network”.
- Add APN (below post).
- Leave Username and Password blank.
- You can also reset the network settings under, settings – general – reset – reset network settings.
- For New iOS device: Go to the Settings > Cellular or mobile data > Cellular Data Network
For old iOS Setting > Mobile > Mobile data options > Mobile data Network > Apn
Configure APN settings on Symbian:
- Go to Menu > Settings > Configurations.
- Select Personal Configuration settings > Add.
- Fill in Account Name.
- Select Access Point Settings > Bearer Settings.
- Enter the Access Point Name (APN).
- Leave Username and Password blank.
- Go back to Personal Configuration menu.
- Select the Account Name and click Option and choose Activate. Done.
Configure APN settings on Windows phone

Configure APN settings on Blackberry:
On the home screen swipe down from the top.
Tap Settings, and then tap Network Connections.
Tap Mobile Network.
Tap APN at the bottom of the screen.
Enter the name and APN then Tap Save. That’s it – you’re all done.
APN Settings For All Cellular Providers In Israel
You can have the APN settings sent to you by SMS, when you receive the SMS message save it and install, this will auto-configure the APN settings on your phone, this service will not work with the iPhone or Blackberry phones these devices find the network setting and auto-configure, Android phones need to be configured manually.
Orange: Send an SMS to 999 with the letters OTA or the number 0, you will then get a text with the settings while installation it will ask for a password (PIN) enter 0000
Cellcom: Send an SMS to 8877 with the letters WAP or MMS or VIDEO you can also call *320 and ask for the settings
Pelephone and Rami Levi: Dial *9999 ext: 1 and the call will disconnect and send you the settings, you can also send a blank SMS to 9999
HOT Mobile: Send an SMS to 610 with the letters APN, (you need to enable data roaming)
YouPhone: Dial *14*12345671234567# While installation it will ask for a password (PIN) enter 1111
012Mobile: Send an SMS to 999 with the letters 012OTA While installation it will ask for a password (PIN) enter 1111 or 0000
